Straws Propaganda
These two posters were created for a propaganda study of utilizing recognizable assets from old propaganda, and bringing them back to life for more current issues. For this study, the propaganda is a call to end the use of plastic straws.
Stomp Out The Straws illustrates the well known American boot used in many previous propaganda posters. In this poster, it is used to emphasize the need to stop the use of plastic straws, in order to save the ocean and its animals, such as the turtle depicted.
Straws Suck depicts the same message, but with a different tone. The fist asks its viewers to come together and unite to stop the use of plastic straws. The harsh red on black stress the importance of the matter, as the straws are harmful to the planet.
